Jacksonville is full of wine, music, history and fun. We are the Gateway to the Applegate Valley Wine Trail with 18 wineries, and the heart of the entire Southern Oregon Wine Region with over 70 wineries. And the in-town tasting rooms and pubs feature live music on a regular basis.
But our musical highlight is the Britt Festivals – the northwest's premier outdoor performing arts series that runs from June through September – is in a spectacular outdoor amphitheater just five blocks away. Additional cultural experiences include the Oregon Shakespeare Festival with performances from mid-February through October in neighboring Ashland, along with four other theater companies and several regional performing arts centers.
For the outdoor enthusiast there are numerous hiking and biking opportunities, including 20+ miles on the in-town Woodland Trails, as well as river rafting, kayaking, and fly fishing on the Rogue River, and downhill and cross-country skiing nearby. Fun day trips just a short drive away include Crater Lake, Oregon Caves and the redwood forests.
Notes from the Innkeepers:
We are Shawn & Jamie Kerr. We recently relocated to the Rogue Valley from Los Angeles. This a return home for Jamie who grew up in Medford and we were eager to get back to a location with different seasons! Read more about them.
As former military and law enforcement officers ourselves, we like to recognize and thank others in the armed forces and law enforcement agencies. Mention your service and we'll be honored to offer you a 'thank you' discount.
