Now in its 51st year, Britt Festivals is the Pacific Northwest's premier open air performing arts festival that presents world-class artists in country, pop, folk, blues, jazz, world, bluegrass and classical music, dance and comedy from June through September. Britt's performance venue is a naturally formed amphitheater set among majestic ponderosa pines and native madrones on the beautiful hillside estate of one of Jacksonville's pioneers, 19th century photographer, orchardist and viticulturalist Peter Britt.
The setting is casual and relaxing and many attendees arrive early to enjoy a picnic dinner and people watching. You can bring your own picnic or select from an array of food and beverages selections sold on the site. You have a choice of reserved or lawn seating and can get more information on scheduled events at www.brittfest.org or call 541-773-6077. We can also book your tickets and save you 10%. Check out our Britt Package.
The Classical Festival runs for three weeks during August and features an orchestra comprised of top musicians from all over the country. The musicians are housed by local residents and most return year after year because Britt and their time in Jacksonville are such special experiences. We can't think of a better place to enjoy classical music – sipping a nice wine, gazing at the scenic view of the Rogue Valley lighted by the setting sun, followed by a star studded sky, with an orchestra that is talented beyond belief. There are also guest soloists with international followings such as our new favorite guitarist, Sharon Isbin.
However, for the rest of the season there is a wonderful mix of performers. Performers such as kd lang, Chris Isaac, and Linda Ronstadt, The B-52's, Pink Martini, and Brandi Carlisle who all give amazing live performances. And at Britt you can be within 5 feet of your favorite performers! If you aren't that lucky, you might get a chance to say hello and get an autograph at the concession booth like Gary did with Brandi Carlisle.
