Jacksonville Shopping & Dining
Housed in the historic commercial buildings and former homes, Jacksonville's shops, bistros and restaurants are independently owned and offer their own unique merchandise and culinary perspectives. As independent operators they take pride in running their own business and know that they have to offer you something special that you aren't going to find in other places.
Some of our favorite shops are Pot Rack, Terra Firma, Care Free Buffalo, Jacksonville Mercantile, Blue Door, Pico's, Crown Jewel, Scheffels Toys, Willowcreek Gifts, and Jacksonville Barn Company. For women's wear check out La Boehme, The Cotton Broker, and Jacksonville Company. Checkout the Google map under "Location" for more information.
When you are hungry and want a more casual atmosphere check out Frau Kemmling's School Haus Brew Haus for great beer, pretzels and German food; Jacksonville Inn for a wide selection including American and Greek favorites; La Fiesta and Las Palmas for Mexican; Bella Union for Italian, pizza and pub food, a great selection of beer, and Oysters & Ale on Thursday nights during the winter, or Back Porch BBQ for homestyle cooking.
For a special dining experience our go-to places include Gogi's, where our guests have never been disappointed and find a nice romantic setting; Jacksonville Inn, a local favorite for over 30 years with an extensive menu; Deja Vue in the McCully House for seasonal and local fare; or C Street Bistro where chef Paul offers incredibly sophisticated and exceptionally delicious food.
